Cop Security

Cop Security is a Saddleworth based company, importing and distributing CCTV equipment. We are currently looking to recruit a IT Administrator & a Technical Support Engineer.


IT Administrator

Monday – Friday 9:00am to 5pm

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor and maintain computer systems, including LAN/WAN networks
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems 
  • Supporting the roll-out of new applications 
  • Testing and evaluating new technology 
  • Working with 3rd party suppliers to maintain service agreements 
  • Making sure there is a smooth change over from old systems to new ones, keeping management updated on progress 
  • Oversee IT Projects, this can range from new websites to data integration systems through to regularly upgrading internal systems 
  • Making recommendations for improving the company’s IT systems and carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions 
  • Providing internal support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports 

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and expanding the company’s IT systems including the following:

  • Sage50 Accounts
  • Microsoft dynamics CRM
  • MSSQL & MYSQL Database
  • Avaya IP, Voicemail Pro, Tim+
  • Microsoft Office
  • Microsoft Server 2008
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Various bespoke software integration systems

Technical Support Engineer

Monday – Friday 9:00am to 5pm

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support for all products via telephone and email
  • ​Troubleshooting CCTV installations
  • Diagnosing faults
  • Helping customers configure all aspects of CCTV installations, specifically using remote desktop software to program routers and other devices.

The ideal applicant will be required to work under pressure in a busy department and must be a dynamic self-motivated individual with the ability to work well as part of an effective team and an excellent telephone manner. A good knowledge of CCTV systems including IP CCTV is essential, previous experience with Dahua products will be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
