MPEG-4

The XT uses MPEG-4 compression to store video onto a hard drive, the same method that SKY use for their satellite transmissions. The quality of the XT`s recording has enabled at least 6 Police forces throughout the UK to specify and use the XT range.

100 Frames per second

Heavy Duty

Using the right hard drives is fundamental to the long term performance of the system. Most hard drives are designed to be used in a home or office computer where they will only be used for 30% of the time. The drives fitted in every XT are designed for industrial use and are intended to be used 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Every hard drive comes with a 3 year warranty.

Flexible

The XT has many recording possibilities with a built in recording schedule system and the ability for each channel to record at a different frame rate and resolution .Utilising built in sophisticated motion detection software, the XT can also be programmed to record only when motion is detected. This allows the XT to be tailored to suit every installation.

One of the benefits of MPEG-4 compression is that it is very good for viewing over a local network or over the internet. The XT is supplied with network viewing software that will allow up to 15 users to simultaneously view video.

Hear it live online

You might simply want to check up on a site and listen in to areas where there should be no activity, such as schools and factories that are closed for holidays. Combining video with audio is a good way of verifying an intruder.

Remote Engineering

With the right access codes the XT can be configured over a network, allowing an engineer to change any settings required without the need for a site visit.

Find the event

Searching for recorded images could not be easier. You simply press the “search” button on the front of the unit and select the time, date, or event you want to view.

Make a copy

The XT offers two options for making a copy of recorded video and audio. You can copy to a CD-R/DVR-R using the built in DVD writer or alternatively to a memory stick. It is also possible to copy video and audio from the DVR without the need to stop recording.

Secure the copy

The recordings you have copied are protected by a watermark. The playback software can check that there has been no tampering with your evidence at the click of a button.

Simple playback

You can playback the copied video on your computer and every time a copy is made the playback software is automatically installed onto the CD, or memory stick. This means that when it is inserted into a computer the software is immediately available for playback. There is no software to install, or settings to change.

Monitor outputs

The XT has the ability to connect to standard CCTV monitors and computer LCD monitors (VGA). There is also a separate “spot” monitor that can be used to switch through selected cameras keeping covert images from being displayed. The main monitor can be programmed to display any combination of images, thus giving the XT an extremely flexible display system.

Alarm pop up

Using the alarm inputs or built in motion detection system, the XT can be programmed to display in full screen any area that has been activated, as well as sounding an audible alarm.

The XT has many advanced features that allow the unit to be programmed to perform exactly as the installation requires. Amongst these are the following:
